Hints and tips for the Appointment System

  1. REGISTER FOR ON-LINE APPOINTMENTS.  This will give you the ability to book an appointment as soon as they are released in the surgery and means you are not restricted to trying to get through on the telephone line at 8am. Please bring photographic ID to reception and ask them to register you for this.
  2. PLEASE RING AFTER 8AM as the telephone system operates between 8am and 6pm
  3. PLEASE LISTEN to the options you are given when you get through and press the appropriate number. This will direct your call to the service which you  require. We try to keep the surgery line free between 8am and 10am for appointment requests and home visits.
  4. MONDAY IS OUR BUSIEST DAY FOR APPOINTMENT REQUESTS. It is not  necessary to ring on Monday to obtain an appointment for that week as we release appointments on a daily basis.
  5. THE SURGERY OFFERS THE OPTION OF A TELEPHONE CONSULTATION. If you feel your problem could be dealt with on the telephone please ask the receptionist to make you a routine telephone consultation.
  6. PLEASE HELPUS IMPROVE OUR SERVICE by cancelling any unwanted appointment. We average over 500 wasted appointments each month. Help us to help you.

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A TELEPHONE OR ACCESS TO A COMPUTER , YOU CAN CALL IN TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT DURING OPENING TIMES.
